Review of the year 2010

I started to write this blog during summer 2010 because I want to share my views. But I ended abandoning it since I was super duper busy after I have started my year 3, aka my final year, of LSE.

Anyway, it is so scary that time flies rapidly. I can't actually believe that it is already 30 December. I just realised that there is only one more day left for 2010. I asked myself what have I done this year? I tried to remember the things that I have accomplished throughout this year. I could not really tell what kind of constructive thing I have done. All the things that I wish for did not happen at all. Some people say if your dream does not come true, perhaps better things are planned for you. I just hope this is true. But what if I remain where I am now this time next year again? I know I should not be so pessimistic. But the thing is it is always good to think of back up plans. Sigh. I should have more positive thinking in 2011!

I have already written my new year resolution in my new diary. How about you? 

Want juicy looking soft sexy lips?

I've decided to do my first review on product that I've bought from Japan (Okinawa). This is a product that I absolutely adore and love. It's a lip balm produced by Shiseido. It can be purchased in almost every drugstore in Japan, if not definitely in Matsumoto  RiYoshi. I bought my first one previously when I visited Tokyo 2 years ago. It works amazingly well, especially when your lips are super duper dry.

It's actually called Therapino Oil Balm. It's especially designed for night use and dry lips, as stated at the back of the package.

I have been using it during nighttime. A thin layer of it on my lips just before I go to bed every night. It really moisturizes my lips throughout the night, even in winter time when it becomes dry with heaters on. 

It costs about 420yen. It should be more or less the same in every drugstore you could find in Japan. Since I only applied a thin layer on every night, mine lasted around 2 years. It's a worthwhile investment. Do buy one if you have super dry lips or you live in a place where you need to put on heater all the time. 

By the way, I haven't tried purchasing this oil balm online before. So I don't know where you can purchase it online. If you happen to visit Japan in the near future, or you have a friend living in or visiting Japan, you can ask your friend to buy you one.

Feel the sunshine

Did anyone ever told you that whenever you go on a vacation that you will practically gain weight? Well I just experienced gaining an extra few pounds after coming back from Japan. The food there is just so yummy that you can't resist it, seriously, especially the ice-cream. Well, I went to Okinawa and the famous food there is basically sugar cane and salt. Have you ever tried the sugar mixed with salt? I did! It just felt so weird, but weirdly amazingly good! You should try if anyone of you read this visit Okinawa in the future. 

This is second largest aquarium in the world. It's just so breath taking!

 The sea is just as blue as the sky! Dun you just want to jump into the sea and swim?

Now, this is what I am talking about salt. You can basically see salt-related products everywhere. I tried 2 kinds of salt ice-cream and I think this shop sells the best salt ice-cream.

Now, I have to do extra exercise everyday to loose all those gained weight from Okinawa. But still, strongly recommended to visit this amazing place in the summer.

What friends are for?

They laugh when you laugh.
They smile when you smile.
They cry when you cry.
They are there for you no matter who you are and what you do.

Meeting good old friends is always my favourite things to do when I am tired of wearing a fake mask in front of different people. Because you can just be that kind of person that you want to be. You don't need to pretend and hide and protect yourself from anyone.

Time is really the best evidence to prove things. 10 years of friendship. I have been thinking what we would look like 2, 5 or even 10 years later. It just seems like it was yesterday that we gathered in a restaurant and laughed so loud that people around us kept on staring at us. I must say we really have not improved since we still laughed so loud on the street that people would stare at us as if we are insane. Perhaps, that's what draws the bond between each of us. though we might share different dreams and believes, we are always there for each other and give billions and tons of support.

Frozen yogurt explosion

I've been thinking what would be the best topic to write about, and here comes the thought of food. I mean everyone loves food. Hey don't write something about my fav summer time snacks - frozen yogurt!?


Frozen yogurt isn’t anything new. The snack has been popular since the 80′s and has experienced surges of growth since then. It’s usually touted as a healthier alternative to ice cream. In the advertising for their yogurt for example, Yo Ma Ma mentions that yogurt is “virtually fat free,” a “good source of calcium,” and “good for digestion”.


In Hong Kong, I've tried Yo Ma Ma and Berry Good so far. Yo Ma Ma offers two flavours of yogurt - original and green tea. Being a green tea fans, I have to say I got super duper excited about this. But you have to have luck to meet a good machine that has mixed the yogurt with the green tea evenly. The taste varies from time to time.


On top of that, in terms of toppings, I would say both Yo Ma Ma and Berry Good offer similar toppings. But I would choose Berry Good over Yo Ma Ma. Perhaps it's something to do with the interior design. I mean, it's pink!

That's frozen yogurt in Hong Kong. But I would highly recommend anyone who is going to visit the UK anytime soon to visit Snog. It's almost everywhere in London now. The interior design for each store is soo funky. It makes me so happy whenever I visit the shop.

 Plus, a big plus, they decorate the frozen yogurt with the toppings. What can be more excited than this. 

What's better than having a sweet and healthy summer by eating more frozen yogurt? Lol!
